Handmade Leather Harnesses, Collars and Leads

A while ago we found ourselves asking why leather collars and leads don't last for the dogs life time as they used to, and how they end up cracking and becoming brittle.

The reason for this is inferior quality leather and the dyes used for the initial aesthetic properties, that as we all know don't last, but on the other hand the prices of leather dog items on the high street really do reflect the quality, so some pet owners don't mind having to replace collars etc more often.

Our Products are made from the highest quality leather ( the same stuff used to make police dog leads and harnesses) and are made to last, Sarah has trained in leathercraft in her previous career, but also out sources some work to her old colleague who has worked in the leathercraft trade for over 40years.

All these products are hand made with time and care taken to produce only the highest quality finish which inevitably reflect on the years the products last for rather than only months.

All metal fixings used are heavy duty brass, so will never rust.

We also offer repairs to leather items. For example if you already have quality leather products that you have become rather attached to over the years and need a bit of tlc, a new trigger hook or parts re-stitching then please contact us and we will quote you for time and materials.
